Women - Take Care!
Rode out to Carloway yesterday then turned right and headed into the wind to Barvas then back across Barvas Moor to Stornoway. It's not very often that I choose Barvas Moor for the return leg, but with a northerly wind it seemed a better option than an anti-clockwise loop around Calanish and Acha Mor.
Approaching Carloway, I was amused by this sign. I've seen caution signs for sheep elsewhere (and even 'caution cyclists' and I suppose it's no different to the old 'men at work' signs. Is this proof that men (and sheep) in Lewis are considered more important than women? All I can say is women, if you're out walking in this area - choose somewhere else to cross the road because you're the last thing that a motorist will expecting to see.

Hmm, men and sheep are to be taken care of? Crossing a road might be a complicated task ...
ReplyDeleteLOL - hadn't thought of it like that - men are as stupid as sheep when it comes to road sense.
