Who Are You?
I was directed to this today. I put in my height and current weight and matched with a rower and handball player - I don't possess either the skill or the upper body strength for either, and I am sure both have a far better 'muscle to fat ratio' than I currently possess!
What was interesting was that when I put in my height (1.9m) and my 'racing' weight from when I was 20 something (70kg) my nearest match was the GB super-hero Bradley Wiggins - OK, so pursuiting and TT's were my forte and I won few road races too, but it just goes to show that you need more than physique to become a great champion (maybe I should have let my sideburns grow?) ;-)

We're trying to identify the track and your club- not easy!!
ReplyDeleteYou look good in the photo anyway !
The track is Aldersley in Wolverhampton - I was riding for Halesowen at the time but the event was an 'Inter-Centre of Excellence' Challenge so I was riding for the West Midlands Team. So I'm not wearing my club jersey ;-)
DeleteI remember Aldersley-intimately-nice and gritty, especially when a junior switches and brings the bunch down as we came out of the last bend.....
ReplyDeleteI had a nasty one on the home straight once. Someone in front of me was trying to catch his straps to pull them tight and touched a wheel.
