Two Left Feet
This morning Deanne and myself headed down to the Caberfeidh, put on our dancing shoes and did our second Cha Cha Cha lesson. The lessons have been organised by Music Project Hebrides, 8 weeks of lessons (2 weeks each for the Jive, Cha Cha Cha, Waltz and finally the Charleston). We missed the Jive, and will probably miss the Charleston, but will be there, displaying newly learnt skills, in the final Big Band Come Dancing event.
In 1982, Bob Thaves said (of Fred Astaire) "Sure he was great, but don't forget Ginger Rogers did everything he did backwards...and in high heels!" - well I'm no Fred Astaire and have to commend Deanne on her perseverance with her partner (I have only stood on her toes once so far).
Roll on the Waltz it can't be more difficult than the Cha Cha Cha, can it?
