Today I have been mostly...

been shooting trees :-)

I like trees. Trees were a fundamental part of my degree  (many years ago now) and  my honours project on defoliation of Fagus sylvatica . OK, cut the pretentious latin crap - I mean beech of course ;-)

So, how did I end up in a hospital lab? I blame Thatcher's 'anti-green' policies.

Anyway, work's been really heavy this week. What with a blood bank inspection on Wednesday, a couple of people I'm finding really difficult to deal with, people getting leave in before the end of the financial year and a bout of sickness leaving  the lab short staffed - I just had to get away from work and clear my mind. So I met Deanne (who brought Harry along) and went for a lunch time stroll.

In my bag there was a Rollei B35, Olympus E620, Holga 120N (pinhole mod) and Holga 135 - I chose to put the 135 in my pocket and the E620 around my neck. I never used the Holga but snapped a dozen or so on the digital - for some unknown reason I chose sepia with a red filter and am really happy with the results - and here's a selection.

I returned to work feeling much better and had a productive afternoon :-)

  1. Love the left tree in the 2nd picture... looks like a tree out of one of Donnie's pics :-)
