Lazy Sunday Afternoon
Feeling lazy Sunday so, when I went for a walk, I took the Olympus dSLR with me. Not wanting perfect digital pictures, I attached the £11 Holga (HL-O) lens - these are some of the results.
I like the effects of the lens. It's not the easiest of lenses to use but, being coupled to a digital body, I can snap away happily without unnecessary waste of film . Some observations:
a) Looking through the camera view-finder, you can't see a thing unless light is perfect - maybe I should start using live view?
b) The crop factor of the digital sensor turns the lens into a 120(?)mm zoom making framing difficult (particularly close ups) - maybe I should get a fish-eye converter?
However, it's a nice addition to my Holga collection and using it I am as happy as a happy thing in a happy place - oh, yes, it's also about 1/20th the price of my 25mm pancake too! :-)
