The holidays are over and Alex, my eldest, headed off back to Glasgow to study. After waving the ferry away across the Minch, I took off to Tolsta to do my own studying - in the darkroom with Andrea.
During the first lesson, I was shown how to do real printing, not with a Canon Pixma but using real chemicals and stuff. After Andrea had worked through an example, we retired for tea and biscuits (chocolate ones) and then returned to the darkroom for the practical lesson and I tackled a few prints of my own and did a little ducking and diving (or was that dodging and burning?). Lesson finished we had more tea and biscuits and then I headed home with a satisfied smile and a handful of prints :-)
The above pics are digital scans of the negs that were processed. I have to say the real thing looks so much better ;-)
Thanks to you I now I go to bed humming Rooooxanne ...
ReplyDeleteThe second photo with the huge women on the billboard looking down (metaphorically) on the small passing guys is very good.
Thanks Martina. The blonde guy heading left is my eldest son. I had a visit to Glasgow and arranged to meet him on Buchanan Street. I was early and wandering around taking snaps. He walked straight past me so I lifted the camera, called and as he turned I snapped.
