Think I'll pack it in
and buy a pick-up
Take it down to L.A.
Find a place to call my own
and try to fix up.
Start a brand new day.
The woman I'm thinking of,
she loved me all up
But I'm so down today
She's so fine, she's in my mind.
I hear her callin'.
See the lonely boy,
out on the weekend
Trying to make it pay.
Can't relate to joy,
he tries to speak and
Can't begin to say.
She got pictures on the wall,
they make me look up
From her big brass bed.
Now I'm running down the road
trying to stay up
Somewhere in her head.
The woman I'm thinking of,
she loved me all up
But I'm so down today
She's so fine she's in my mind.
I hear her callin'.
See the lonely boy,
out on the weekend
Trying to make it pay.
Can't relate to joy,
he tries to speak and
Can't begin to say.
Out on the Weekend - Neil Young
A few weeks ago I bought a copy of Mojo magazine. The reason was Neil Young on the cover. It's 40 years since he entered the studio to record 'Harvest' and the mahazine had a free copy of the album, with each track performed by a different artist.
I only ever owned a tape of the album and I had forgotten how good it was. Since buying the mag the cd has been played most days. I will be looking for a copy of the Neil Young cd as a result :-)
As for the weekend, I'm not working, I took today off and went out on the bike out past Leurbost and back via Crossbost and past the turbines, I'm heading in to town in a wee while, and tomorrow we're having a curry night with some friends - looking forward to it :-)
